About Me
Originally from Münster in Westphalia I moved to Berlin to study film studies and cultural anthropology at the Free University of Berlin. Subsequently I enrolled for photography at 'Fotografie am Schiffbauerdamm', the predecessor of today’s 'Ostkreuzschule', under Sibylle Bergemann, Arno Fischer, and Jörn Vanhöfen.
After graduating in 2006 I worked as freelance photographer in the field of artistic photography in Germany and Europe for many years. I was also a camera operator for a documentary project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since 2016, my passions for film and photography have come together in my activity as professional location scout.
Scouting
I am able to find locations of any kind for your production in the areas of cinema and TV film, photography, and advertising. Based in Berlin and Brandenburg, I have a focus in this region. However, I am a passionate traveler and love projects elsewhere in Germany and also worldwide.
Database / Archive Request
My extensive database already contains a large number of potential filming locations, meaning a simple archive request can save you having to go through a lenghty search process. Furthermore, my digital archive can also be used for preliminary research of proposed projects or for creating a moodboard of your story.
Research
Carrying out substantive, visual, or location-based research in advance of productions is one of my favourite areas of work. I will be happy to conduct comprehensive online or in-depth on-site research to assess your screenplay or production idea for feasibility.
